The original route that Silverline owes its name to passes in between the cities of Hämeenlinna and Tampere in the breathtaking sceneries along the lakes Vanajavesi and Pyhäjärvi. On the journey, we will make a special stop at Visavuori where visitors can explore the home studio of illustrious Art Nouveau sculptor Emil Wikström and drop in at the permanent exhibition dedicated to the satirical cartoons of his grandson, Kari Suomalainen. From Visavuori, it is possible to return to Hämeenlinna.

On this passage, you can marvel at the formidable medieval Häme castle with its red brick fortifications rising high right from the very edge of Lake Vanajavesi. Further along the route, the ship will pass the famous churches in Hattula and continue through the spectacular strait of the Sotkanvirta River in Nokia. Right before arriving in Tampere, you will see the magnificent ridges of Pyynikki and Pispala.
We operate on the Hämeenlinna – Visavuori leg with m/s Silver Moon and on the Visavuori – Tampere leg with m/s Silver Star. With their fully licensed comfortable restaurants, both ships provide the perfect setting for admiring the changing waterway scenery, enjoying the food and drink on offer or just quietly unwinding on the gentle waves.
Aside from Visavuori, the route will pass by the Lepaa winery, the Lempäälä Canal, the entertainment spas of Aulanko in Hämeenlinna and Eden in Nokia, the Myllyranta event park in Lempäälä and the restaurant/hotel Vaihmalan hovi (15 minutes from the Lempäälä Canal).

On both ships’ restaurants, we place high emphasis on locally sourced produce and ingredients and generally favor domestic materials and stock. We aspire to provide a modern Finnish cuisine especially suited to the scenery of the inland waterways with its islands and lakes.
