Our signature Silver Lines route runs between Tampere and Hämeenlinna, taking you across the beautiful scenery of Lakes Pyhäjärvi and Vanajavesi. Along the way, the cruise stops at Visavuori, where you can visit sculptor Emil Wikström’s artist home and explore the famous political cartoons of his grandson, Kari Suomalainen. The boat change also takes place in Visavuori.

Note! On 16 June, the Tampere–Hämeenlinna route will have an exceptionally short stop in Visavuori — only 15 minutes.

On shimmering waves

Along the route, you’ll see Tampere’s striking Pyynikki and Pispala ridges from the water, the  narrow straits of Sotkanvirta in Nokia, Hattula’s old churches, and the medieval castle of Hämeenlinna.

M/S Silver Moon and M/S Silver Sky operate between Hämeenlinna and Tampere. Onboard, you’ll find comfortable restaurant areas and full bar service. Take in the sights, enjoy the tasty food, and relax on the gentle waves.

In addition to Visavuori, the route includes stops such as the Lepaa Winery, Lempäälä canal, the Aulanko’s and Eden’s spas, Lempäälä’s Myllyranta*, and Vaihmalan Hovi (15 minutes from Lempäälä Canal).

M/S Silver Moon serves a tasty and plentiful buffet meal. The buffet includes a selection of fine cold starters and delicious warm options. We focus on the best ingredients and offer modern flavors from Finland and around the world. Enjoy the delicacies of our buffet, perfectly suited to lake and archipelago scenery, while surrounded by some of the most beautiful lake views in the world. We recommend purchasing or reserving meals in advance.

On the Tampere–Visavuori leg of the journey, a generous buffet meal is available onboard.

On the Visavuori–Hämeenlinna leg, café services are available onboard.

The Visavuori Tour takes you onto the water on Tuesdays. Step aboard, travel to Visavuori and return back to Tampere.

Begin a self-guided circular trip to Hämeenlinna, carried by shimmering silver waves via Visavuori. Hämeenlinna is a wonderful city full of things to see and do. Spend a pleasant night there, enjoy the sights, and hop on a VR train whenever it suits you to return to Tampere by rail. Or, if you wish, continue your journey all the way to our capital city.
